Student Council Chairman

Student Council is an organization which organize some activities or events in school. Student Council is the place to receive our opinion or our expression. We can discuss a problem in school with Student Council. The student council creates a positive school climate by giving students ownership over meetings, public relations, events, and planning. Students organize and implement events, work as a team, fundraise, and plan and run weekly meetings. 

Certainly, Student Council need a leader, because without a leader Student Council can't run well. So, I propose to become Student Council Chairman. I have some abilities to become Student Council Chairman, such as:

1. I'm honest person

2. I'm friendly person

3. I'm discipline person

4. I'm responsible person

5. I'm hardwork person

My vision to become Student Council Chairman is "Create the students of SMAN 3 Bandung become compact". And my missions are:

1. Create the students to have good Ukhuwah Islamiyah (loyalty) 

2. Create the students to have good attitude

3. Create the students become more creative

I have some programs to realize my missions, the programs are:

1. Make a sport event like Dewa Athena, BM Cup, etc.

2. Make a big event like music concert (show KPA, KV and Band of SMAN 3 Bandung)

3. Make a cultural tour event to Bali and Lombok

Debate Topic: Capital Punishment should be given in high profile corruption case

Corruption or rasuah (Latin: corruptio of meaningful verb corrumpere rotten, corrupt, destabilizing, twisting, bribing) is the actions of public officials, politicians and civil servants, as well as other parties involved in the action which is unnatural and not legal abuse the public trust that authorizes them to gain unilateral advantage. Corruption can occur on many different scales. There is corruption that occurs as small favours between a small number of people (petty corruption), while there is the corruption that affects the government on a large scale (grand corruption), and corruption that is so prevalent that it is part of the every day structure of society. "Petty" corruption occurs at a smaller scale and occurs within established social frameworks and governing norms. Examples include the exchange of small improper gifts or use of personal connections to obtain favors. This form of corruption is particularly common in developing countries and where public servants are significantly underpaid.
"Grand" corruption is defined as corruption occurring at the highest levels of government in a way that requires significant subversion of the political, legal and economic systems. Such corruption is commonly found in countries with authoritarian or dictatorial governments and in those without adequate policing of corruption by anti-corruption agencies. Corruption case is extraordinary crime, so to decrease that case we have to give hard punishment to the corruptor. And one of the hard punishment is capital punishment or death penalty. Capital punishment or the death penalty is a legal process whereby a person is put to death by the state as a punishment for a crime. The judicial decree that someone be punished in this manner is a death sentence, while the actual process of killing the person is an execution. Crimes that can result in a death penalty are known as capital crimes or capital offences. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment)

Benefit of capital punishment :
1. Decrease corruption case
2. People obey to the law
3. People would be fear doing criminals
4. Shows that the government law is decisive
5. The suspect can't run from the punishment
6. Responsible for what he/she did
7. It decreases the prisoner population which saves even more taxpayers money


Disadventage of capital punishment :
1. Against human right
2. It takes human life
3. It's cruel
4. If there's a mistake, they can't give back his/her life
5. The government become arbitrary
6. There will be a lots of conspiration


I think the capital punishment is bad solution to punish the criminal, so I disagree if the capital punisment will be enforced in my country. Because, It againsts human right and life is so precious, we can't buy a life with money. So, We can find other way to punish the criminal, the  other way are the government has to make a regulation to punish the criminal or the corruptor jailed in the prison with a long time and take all his/her wealth. 

So, that is my opinion, I hope in the future the corruption case will vanish in my country, Indonesia.

Student Scholarship Announcement Letter

Dear Chapter Members and Students:

The Puget Sound Chapter of NATS is delighted to announce our 2013 Scholarship Award Auditions.

In order to be eligible to participate in the scholarship audition students must:

    Be currently studying with a Puget Sound Chapter member for at least six months.
    Be a graduating senior as of June 2013 in high school or a home school program.  Proof of enrollment and graduation may be required.
    Complete the following:
    -  A one page essay explaining the role of music in their life and how
    the scholarship will benefit their future pursuit of this noble art.
    -   Application form

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

The application can be submitted online or can be submitted via email or regular mail.  The one page essay must be submitted via email or regular mail (not through the website).

We will be awarding one $500 scholarship and two $250 scholrships.  Candidates will be required to sing three selections including one art song in a foreign language, one art song in English, and a third song from the following categories:

    Art song from any era, style or language.
    Aria written before 1800.
    Musical theatre or Operetta selection. Operetta must be in original language.

Candidates must provide their own accompanists.

The Story of Smart Monkey and Dull Crocodile
One day there was a monkey. He wanted to cross a river. There he saw a crocodile so he asked the crocodile to take him across the other side of the river. The crocodile agree and told the monkey to jump on its back. Then the crocodile swam down the river with the monkey on his top.
Unluckily, the crocodile was very hungry, he stopped in the middle of the river and said to the monkey, “My father is very sick. He has to eat the heart of the monkey. So he will be healthy again.”
At the time, the monkey was in dangerous situation and he had to think hard. Then he had a good idea. He told the crocodile to swim back to the river bank. “What’s for?” asked the crocodile. “Because I don’t bring my heart,” said the monkey. “I left it under a tree, near some coconuts in the river bank.”
The crocodile agreed and turned around. He swam back to the bank of the river. As soon as they reached the river bank, the monkey jumped off the crocodile’s back. Then he climbed up to the top of a tree.
“Where is your heart?” asked the crocodile. “You are foolish,” said the monkey to the crocodile. “Now I am free and I have my heart.”

Hello, I'm Ahmad Faishal Akbar, you can call me Faishal. I was born on November 24th 1996. I live in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. I go to 3 Senior High School Bandung. I'm friendly. I'm a kind person. I don't like cigarette, wine and drug. I can't swimming and I'm not good in English and literature, so it's my weakness. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera in latin called Aloe barbadensis Milleer, is a thorny plant that originated from dry areas on the African, Asian, American continent. Aloe Vera has been known and used since thousands of years ago because it has many benefits.

Spear-shaped leaves of aloe vera with strands of elongated, thick fleshy, not bony leaves, grayish green and some of them have white spots, and has a wax coating on the surface. Aloe vera leaves are sekulen, which contains water, sap and slime. Aloe vera contains two types of liquids, such as jelly that is clear and yellowish fluid containing aloein. Aloe vera leaves are already large, generally has a length of about 30 cm. Aloe vera trumpet-shaped flowers along the 2-3 cm, yellow and dangling round tip composed towering stalks upwards. Aloe vera fibers root. Aloe vera is a plant vascular.

Behaviour of Aloe Vera are can close the stomata (mouths leaves) in the dry season to avoid water lose from leaves and
it live in dry areas if planted in wet areas with high rainfall, are prone to fungus.

Population of Aloe Vera about 200 species of aloe vera plant, which is either used for the treatment is kind of Aloevera Barbadensis miller.

In the leaves have a slimy flesh, this part is rich in benefits for humans. Aloe vera contains 72 types of substances needed by the human body.The older leaves of aloe vera, the more useful content it has, like thick hair, wound healing, and for skin care. How to use Aloe Vera for thick hair? You can use it in a way to peel the skin and then rub the meat into the scalp and hair to become fertile and beautiful hair.
